I think City Councilwoman Janice Rutherford has done a wonderful job for Fontana. As a 13-year resident of central Fontana, I think she has really improved the city.

I am especially thrilled to see so many improvements here in central Fontana. In so many other cities, I have seen only the newer sections developed, while the city cores remain blighted. Here in central Fontana, we have the new library, theater, and store facades along Sierra Avenue.

I am also pleased with the new section of the Pacific Electric walking trail, as it goes right by our front and side yard. It is nice to see our area beautified. As concerned citizens, we always call the Graffiti Hot Line (which has an excellent response time) and the Police Department whenever needed, to keep our neighborhood as nice and crime-free as possible.

I am also pleased that as a councilwoman, Janice has not forgotten about the lower-income and disabled citizens of Fontana, of which I am one. The Community Assistance Fair and Program has done an excellent job in disseminating information to the community about which aid programs are available. Thanks, Janice, for creating this for our community.
